Village voters say YES to the referendum for new Fire/Police Building
MAY 12
- Village residents voted Tuesday in favor of building a new emergency services building to house the village fire and police departments. The approval gives the village permission to borrow $3.2 million to build a $4.5 million building on Santa Clara Avenue to replace the departments' current locations, both of which are too small, unsafe and aren't accessible to people with disabilities. - ALBANY - The state Department of Environmental Conservation is reminding people that all residential brush burning is prohibited during the high-fire-risk period from March 16 through May 14. TLFD responds mutual-aid to a structure fire
FEBRUARY 11
- Tupper Lake Firefighters were activated Saturday February 9th at 10:38pm by Franklin County Dispatch to respond 1 engine and manpower to a structure fire at 92 Wardner Road in Paul Smiths. Shortly after being dipatched ETA 165 and M 368 were out of service with 6 firefighters. Firefighters make quick work of a structure fire
JANUARY 28
- At 7:37pm on Sunday January 27th, Franklin County Dispatch toned out Tupper Lake Fire and Tupper Lake EMS to a possible structure fire at 30 park street. Engines 165 and 167 were out of service minutes later arriving on scene to find a 3 story residential structure with no visible smoke from the outside however the homeowner said there was smoke coming from a wall in the basement. Tupper Lake members respond to Long Island
NOVEMBER 11
- The call went out for a State Emergency Fire Unit (SEFU) from each Franlin County Department. Two Fire Fighters and equipment would respond to Nassau County in Long Island to assist their brother and sister Fire Fighters who had been affected by Super Storm Sandy. 2nd Asst Chief Royce Cole and Fire Fighter Nick Rolley answered the call.
